LaFemme was the foundation for all Darkel Bichons.
She came to us at one year of age in 1971. After her arrival at Darkel
she was shown briefly in the Miscellaneous class prior to the acceptance
of the Bichon Frise into the Non Sporting group by the American Kennel
Club. In 1972 LaFemme was bred to Beau Monde the Actor and produced
her first
litterof five puppies.
In 1974, LaFemme produced her second litter sired
by Idle Hour's Boule de Neige. From these two litters three of her
offspring were chosen to continue Darkel Bichon Frise. They are:
