Cameo was the result of the carefully planned breeding of Champion Darkel's Angelic Star to Champion Darkel's Artic Star.  She is pictured at five months of age after winning Best Puppy in match at the Greater N.Y. Bichon Frise Fanciers match show in 1974.  She loved the show ring and passed her showmanship on to all of her offspring.

Her first litter sired by Champion Windstar's Aristotle produced four males.  Champion Darkel's Imperial Gamble remained at Darkel for his entire life.  Champion Darkel's Imperial Gamin was sold to Canada as a puppy and gained his Canadian championship from the puppy classes.

Chaminade Cadence was chosen as the sire for Cameo's second litter.  That litter produced two female champions for us.  Champion Darkel's Mighty Image  and Champion Darkel's Mighty Imp, C.D. who was sold to Madeleine Brettell in Canada.

Cameo's third and final litter was sired by Champion Darkel's Avalanche.  American/Canadian Champion Darkel's Royal Justice resulted from that litter.

After her retirement, Cameo made her home with Madeleine's parents in Canada where she became bilingual, learning to understand French as well as the English.
