Artic was the first Bichon that we ever seriously showed.  He was  pointed at six months of age.  After showing briefly as a puppy, he stayed home to grow up and returned to the ring after his second birthday.  He then finished quickly (nine shows).  When the Bichon Frise became recognized by the Canadian Kennel Club, he went to Canada with his sister, Angelic Star, where he finished undefeated for Best of Breed and received a Group 1st.

Later, because he disliked staying home so much when we went off to the shows with other dogs,  Artic began his obedience training.  He then received his companion dog degree in the U.S., Canada and Bermuda at six years of age.

Artic made his last ring appearance at the 1988 B.F.C.A. National Specialty when he was exhibited in the Parade of Title Holders at age 15.  He lived as my house pet until nearly 17 years of age.
